Introducing the Institute of Egyptian Metaphysics
The Institute of Egyptian Metaphysics was created to form a bridge between the academic field of Egyptology and the growing fields of esoteric studies that draw on Egyptian traditions.
The primary purpose of the Institute is to conduct research, publish and teach about the practice of authentic Egyptian Energy Work and related Esoteric Arts.
The Institute defines Authentic as "information based on scholarly research, primary evidence and expert interpretation". More

What is Egyptian Metaphysics?
The Institute of Egyptian Metaphysics provides courses that are based on research into authentic Egyptian metaphysical practices, an understanding of Egyptian cosmography, religion, art and symbolism and training and practice in energy work. Please note that the practices of the Institute are not Seichim or Sekhem. They are based on authentically researched systems and practices that are documented to have been used by the Ancient Egyptians themselves. This research is drawn from the evidence found on temple walls and in ancient papyri, coupled with expert knowledge and experience with healing energies and esoteric modalities and practices.
The character of Ma’at energy
At the core of Egyptian metaphysics is the concept of Ma’at. An understanding of the Lore of Ma’at, as the Ancient Egyptians understood it, is central to the revelation and recognition of the energy system that the Ancient Egyptians used. This energy is characterized by the achievement of a certain vibrational state of awareness of and harmony with ones environment. With training and practice the condition of “living on Ma’at” can be achieved by anyone wishing to do so. Once attuned to the energy it is possible to summon it and create a feeling of wellbeing, joy and calmness with relative ease.
The benefits of “living on Ma’at” are significant:
· Improved sense of well being and achievement
· Smooth flow of the little things in life (no more bad hair days!)
· Increased sense of security and certainty within ones self, a sense of being protected and grounded
· More easily able to “do the right thing”
· More easily able to recognize and resist “negative” impulses and temptations
· Access to a powerful but gentle energy that is balanced, nurturing, supportive and protective
Hai- Djerit: Egyptian Energy Healing
This ancient practice pre-dates Reiki by thousands of years. The Egyptian Wab priests (priests of purification) in addition to their purification duties, were also practitioners of Energy Healing. They worked in concert with the physicians (Swnu), who performed surgery, and used medicines and spells to heal the sick. The ancient Egyptians worked with metu (meridians) and samat (chakras) to clear wekhedu (blockages or imbalances) in the energy systems of their patients, and restore health and well being. They used sacred symbols and hand positions in their practice, and the evidence for this has been left to us in images from temple walls and in medical papyri. We are only now beginning to fully comprehend these practices. Through my research I have uncovered the details of the system used by the Ancient Egyptians for Energy Healing.
