This course is made up of six modules. Each module is 2 hours in duration, equalling 12 hours for the whole course. Courses will run with a minimum of four students.

This course introduces the concepts of Egyptian Cosmology and Maat, provides a background in Egyptian ritual practice and in reading and understanding the Egyptian use of symbols and colour. The course provides students with ability to perform Egyptian energy healing on themselves and others in a group. Practitioner and Teacher level courses are available for students who would like to go further.

Module Descriptions

Egyptian Cosmology

This unit introduces the concepts of Egyptian Cosmology: that is the understanding that the Ancient Egyptians had of how the universe operates. Cosmology myths are explored and the different forms of Egyptian energy beings are discussed. This is a foundational unit.

 

Understanding the laws of Ma’at

This unit explores the concept of Ma’at as the Egyptians understood it and the laws that operate associated with it, including energy forms and beings and the relationship of Ma’at to Chi, Karma, the law of attraction and the zero point field. Students are introduced to the concepts of Living in Maat. This is a foundational unit.

 

Egyptian Ritual Practice

This unit explores the forms of Ancient Egyptian ritual practice. Forms of worship, rituals of purification and protection, the structure and organization of the Egyptian temple and the various deities and the forms of their cults. This is a foundational unit.

 

Understanding Egyptian Symbols

This unit explores the Egyptians use of symbols to communicate ideas. It looks at the Egyptian symbolic use of colour, motifs and glyphs to convey meaning, confer protection and activate magical practices. Symbols in use from the predynastic through to the new Kingdom are explored. This is a foundational unit.

 

Egyptian Energy Healing Ia

 

·         Prerequisites: Egyptian Cosmology and  Understanding the Laws of Ma’at, Understanding Egyptian Symbols

 

Students are introduced to the Egyptian Chakras (called Semat) and Meridians (called Metu) and begin to work with the Ankh symbol to activate Heka (energy) and learn cleansing techniques for self healing. Students are attuned to Maat energy during this workshop.

 

Egyptian Energy Healing Ib

 

·         Prerequisite: Egyptian Energy Healing I, Egyptian Ritual Practice

 

Students learn about traditional Egyptian hand positions for healing. Students learn specific rituals for commencing and finishing healing sessions, summoning the energy and thanking the universal spirit for the gift of healing. Students learn to recognize Ma’at and Isfet energy. Students learn how to protect themselves from picking up negative energy.

Certificate in Egyptian Energy Healing II (Practitioner level)

Prerequisite: Certificate in Egyptian Energy Healing I

This course is run as a 2 day intensive of 16 hours and includes lunch on both days

Cost: $750 ($700 up front payment)

This course (which will be available later in 2009),  explores the  practice of Egyptian Energy Healing from the point of view of the practitioner. The course introduces additional symbols, enables the practitioner to perform distance healing, to sense the difference between wekhedu and wekhedut (imbalances in the male imAt and female tAyi energies), to perform hebheb (pulling energy through the metu to clear blockages) and to discharge energy safely.

Certificate in Egyptian Metaphysics

This course introduces the student to the concepts of Egyptian Metaphysics and offers the opportunity to specialise in specific areas of interest. Students need to complete the four core modules and can then select a specialisation in which introductory and advanced studies may be available. Reading Egyptian Tarot

This course enables students to work with Tarot packs that have authentic Egyptian symbols on them and to understand and interpret the symbols correctly. Students are taught Tarot layouts that are based on Egyptian symbols. For experienced Tarot readers, who would like to bring an understanding of the Egyptian worldview to their readings.


Wedi Maat: placement of Maat (Egyptian Feng Shui)

This specialisation introduces students to the Egyptian principles of placement and design and is based on the Egyptian concepts of Maat, duality, harmony and balance. It draws on the traditional Egyptian meanings of colour, direction, materials and cosmological principles. Advanced studies looking at Egyptian Gardens available in 2010.

Heka Sr: Egyptian Astrology

This specialisation introduces students to the principles of Egyptian Astrology. the Egyptians form of Astrology is not the same as modern Astrology, which is based on Babylonian Astrology and dates to the first century BC and later. Egyptian Astrology was based on the calendar of 365 days and the pattern of stars for a given day. Each day has a star (or planet) associated with it. There are 36 decans that represent 10 days each, plus there are 5 planets that represent the 5 epagomal days.  A reading for a particular day will take into account the positions of all the decan stars, the planets and the positions of the two major stars Sirius (Isis) and Orion (Osiris). The chart is divided into 12 houses representing the twelve months of the year plus the five epagomal days. These latter correspond to the last five days of July in our modern calendar.

Sen Seneb: Egyptian Aromatherapy

This specialisation introduces students to the principles of Egyptian Aromatherapy. Perfumes and unguents played a large part Egyptian ritual and social occasions. THe Egyptians used specific ointments and perfumes for specific purposes, these ranged from therapeutic to those with ritual significance. Students learn about authentic Egyptian incense, perfumes and ointments such as lotus and their applications in massage, meditation and ritual.

Heka Seshesh: Egyptian Art

This specialisation explores the application of Egyptian art in metaphysical contexts. The use of art in the funerary context, in the temple and personal applications within the home. This is a complimentary study for Wedi Maat. Students get the opportunity to complete a project in which they create a piece of Egyptian Art following authentic Egyptian design principles.

Heka - Sau: Egyptian Amuletic Magic

The Egyptians used amulets extensively in ritual, funerary contexts and every day life. This specialisation explores the use of amulets, their meanings, materials and how they were charged.

Heka -net-a: Advance Egyptian Ritual Practice

Building on the foundation module of Egyptian Ritual Practice, this specialisation explores the creation of authentic Egyptian rituals, Egyptian hymns and prayers, ritual equipment and  Temple design.

Sedem: Egyptian cosmetics and make up

The Egyptians used a range of aids to beauty, but they also had therapeutic and ritual significance. This specialisation explores the application of eye paint, khol and other cosmetics in ritual and social contexts. Students learn how to apply Egyptian style make up to achieve an authentic Egyptian look.

Khebesu: Egyptian Clothing

In this specialisation students explore authentic Egyptian costume. What materials were used in their making, which items and styles were worn by who and when (styles changed over 3000 years). Wigs, accessories, head dress and ritual costumes of Ntjr (gods) royalty and priest hood will be examined.

Heka Sibi Ba: Egyptian Ba Sending (Astral travel practices)

The Egyptians recognized the etheric body as the Ba. They pictured this form as a bird (called the Ba bird) with the head of the person. In this form they recognized that the person could travel outside of the physical body and see things and communicate with others. This was done while in a trance state or while sleeping/dreaming. There are several recorded instances in papyri of Ba Sending, where the practitioner “sends” their Ba to communicate with another
